What does this cost me?

What is a PPA (power purchase agreement)?

The installation partner owns, installs, monitors and maintains the system at no cost to you. You just buy the power it makes at a rate locked in below what your utility charges. Your utility raises rates over time; your solar rate stays locked. That's how the savings hold up year after year.

Is solar worth it for my home?

Sometimes yes, sometimes no — that's the whole reason we do an assessment first. It comes down to your roof's age and orientation, shading, how much electricity you use and what your utility charges you. If the math doesn't work for your house, we'll tell you and that's the end of it.

Who will actually install my solar system?

Not Solvera. We're the advisory side. When solar makes sense for your home, we connect you with an established solar installation partner, and that company handles the design, permitting, installation and service agreement. You'll know exactly who they are before you sign anything.

Who handles repairs, monitoring and the warranty?

The installation partner and the equipment manufacturers — not Solvera. Panels, inverters, batteries and workmanship each carry their own warranty terms. We make sure you can see who covers what, and for how long, before you sign.

What if my roof needs work first?

Then that comes first. Putting a 25-year system on a roof with a few years left in it is a bad idea, and we'll say so. We factor roof age into the assessment and talk through your options rather than pushing forward.

What happens if I move?

It depends on how the system is structured. An owned system generally transfers with the house; a power purchase agreement usually transfers to the new homeowner or gets settled at closing. This is one of the specific terms we make sure you understand up front.
